Kent Brockman

Me hanging out with Homer and the gang at Moe's. See what you'd look like if you were a Simpson's character!

Awesome! We're back dude.

I've been lagging with the posts, but this is a good time as any to get back into the blog thing. My current favorite show on TV (and I barely watch any) is the Venture Bros. on the Cartoon Network on Adult Swim. Looks like they're going to be around for at least another 2 seasons which I am so glad to hear. I can watch the old shows over and over again and still crack up. If you haven't seen this show and you're into other shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons or South Park. This one is somewhat a combination of those shows and I think it's probably better. Although The Simpsons was great in their prime (obviously not right now). In any case, rent the DVD's or search for some clips on youtube. Thanks for the heads up, Cure!

Michael Richards

My first reaction to seeing the video of Michael Richards go on a racist tirade was shock and disappointment. I was a fan of his character on Seinfeld and I just could not believe how he could act like that. It seems like he either was drunk or drugged up. When I watched it again, I found it interesting that they did not show what led to his tirade, which makes it seem even worse than it already was. As it turns out, Jerry Seinfeld was a guest on Letterman last night and Michael Richards was there, via satellite, to apologize for what had happened. It's amazing that some people (the few audience members who were laughing) have no sense of respect for a person who's obviously extremely embarrassed and trying to apologize. I still think this will make me look differently at Michael Richards as a person, but at the same time if I were to see Seinfeld re-runs on TV, I'd still like his character regardless of what happened. The guy apologized and seems sincerely distraught over what he did. It's time to move on and forgive him for being extremely stupid. No need to crucify the guy for something he's already apologized for.

Toons | Futurama

My favorite show (as of this moment) Arrested Development is 99% d-u-n, done. But luckily for animated series, it's not too difficult to make a comeback. All hail the return of Futurama! Granted, I think it's only funny once in a while, but it's a lot better than a lot of the garbage that still gets airtime, for some unknown reason. In any case, at least there's something else to watch on the ol' boob tube.

The Office on NBC
I guess NBC is running out of ideas and are going to see if they can recreate the success of the original show on BBC, The Office, by releasing their own version. Somehow I doubt it can recreate the comedy of the original series. If you haven't seen the original you can see it on DVD which I highly recommend.
