Explore Page | Flickr

This was a welcome surprise this morning. Though I can't really figure out how Flickr selects the "top" explored photos. I've liked some other photos I've uploaded better than this one. Oh well, I'll take it!

New Toy | Lomo LC-A+

Been too lazy to post anything, mainly because I don't want to take a picture and upload it. So I used my iSight camera from my MacBook Pro. Still haven't developed the first roll yet. Can't wait to see the results.

Nice IQ (image quality), ESPN

Normally, ESPN has some really nice pictures. I was surprised to see this terrible picture (quality-wise) of LeBron James on the front page of their site. It looked like it was taken from a still of a video camera. Maybe they couldn't find any better shots? Weird.

Photography | Holga!

I've been playing around with a Holga 120N I picked up a few weeks ago and I love the images it captures. Looking around my favorite photo site, Flickr, I've noticed that there is a glass lens version (120GFN) which I like the look of. The only place I could find it was on eBay and I just received it today. Here's hoping the images it produces is similar to what I've seen on Flickr! If you're a photo nut like I am and you're looking for something different. Check out the Holga, it's a fun (dirt cheap) little camera, which has the ability to take some really great captures.

Flickr | Nine Explored!

After this photo received 100+ views and about a dozen favorites, I knew something was up. Apparently, it made it as one of Flickr's interesting photos Yayy! I can't take all the credit since my nephew pointed out the photo op to me. Thanks, DJ son!

My First Enlargement Print (18x24)

This was taken in the Grand Palace in Bangkok Thailand in February 2006. I've always liked this shot and since I'm getting a little bit better with my post processing (photoshop) skills, I figured it's a good one to, PP, print (used ritzcamera.com) and frame. Overall, I am pleased with it. I goofed somewhat with the size of the print, it's cropped due to the frame board. I'll have to take a photo of it at home so I can share the final result.

Photos | Flickr

Just when I decided it was finally time to start catching up with my photo uploads to Flickr, I realized (after a few clicks in their help forums) that my account had expired. It would have been nice if they had sent me an email regarding it, instead of me initially freaking out that a lot of my older pictures were missing. Now the only problem is I can't change my account again to a paid version since they're off on one of their massages again. Oh well, I still like Flickr. So far...

Canon PowerShot G6

Leave it to the French to screw up. I'm not sure if I like the silver body and still no FireWire?!?

Thailand Pics are up...

Well, it's been three days since I've been back from my trip to Thailand and I must say that the weather in San Diego much nicer, but being away was even better. I took a good amount of pictures while I was in Thailand and it was tough because usually I'd have to stand out in the sun. This basically meant sweating like it was going out of style just to get a picture. The things I do for this site!
Anyhow, I was able to go to one beach (on an island called, Koh Samed) while I was there and it wasn't one of the better ones there, but it was still nicer than any beaches in San Diego I've been to. I can actually go in the water without dealing with the shock of how cold the water would be. I also went snorkeling and can actually see fish. And coming out of the water too was nice since it was warm enough to feel comfortable to take a nice nap. Thailand pretty much reminds me of the Philippines and everyone there would always talk to me in Thai first. I usually felt like a moron answering back in english. I definitely would like to go back and see more of Thailand one of these days. Thanks to all my co-workers/friends there that made it such a good time.

Canon PowerShot G5

I couldn't help it, I ordered a PowerShot G5 for $465. total from Howdy Camera. For a while now I have been itching to upgrade my "old" camera, the Canon PowerShot S110, which has served me well but the quality of the pictures have been making me look for an upgrade. Sunee and her fondness for taking pictures is also at fault for this new purchase because it made me realize how much better pictures can be with the right equipment. Oh and this Photo Gallery site of Pekka's Seven Months with Canon G1 was also to blame. (Check it out, she took some great photos!) I also figure I may as well buy something that will let me add higher quality pics to my upcoming gallery section. (Hopefully, I'll be able to get it working or else it'll take more steps to upload pics, etc.) I also liked the fact that the upgrade price to this much better camera is only $65. more than what I had originally paid for my PowerShot S110. Anyhow, look for the high quality photos to be up as soon as I get my new PowerShot G5.
