Review | Sennheiser PXC 300
I haven't been too interested in noise-canceling headphones until my sister showed me her Bose noise canceling headphones. I'm not a big fan of Bose to begin with (I think they're just overpriced and heavily marketed) but I was pleasantly surprised by the feature. The noise cancellation stuff actually kind of worked. So I was off to find a good set that didn't say Bose or Sony on them. So of course I looked into my favorite headphone brand Sennheiser and read some decent reviews for the Sennheiser PXC 300 models. Most places have them for about $150. but I was able to find them for just over $110. at Compuplus.com (though I just checked and they're back up to $128.) but needless to say I am very happy with the purchase. At first glance, I was worried that they wouldn't cover enough of my ear to let me hear enough my music and cancel the noise out properly. In real world use, it's actually the most comfortable phones I've worn and the only minor gripe I have about it is the battery case/control for the noise cancellation, it's a bit bulky. Other than that, I would recommend these to anyone. If you travel often, these babies are an absolute must on a plane. It's amazing how much low rumbling hum it cancels out. You won't ever want to travel without them on.

Sirius Satellite Radio

Well, it's been 2+ months now since I've subscribed to Sirius Satellite Radio and I am glad I subscribed. I love listening to music and finding new songs/artists, but the stuff on regular radio has been lacking. And don't get me started on most of the crap that is shown on MTV. I've stopped watching music videos a LONG time ago! Sirius is so nice to have as an option to listen to, the only downside I think is that they could play the songs without talking in the beggining of them. It'd be nice if they did this, but I guess I can ignore it when they yap over the songs. Being able to see what songs are playing and not putting up with annoying commercials is the best part of it. Another feature which is found on even the most basic Sirius reciever is the ability to remember a song that is currently playing by pressing the Memo button. So even if you're on a different channel and that song comes on again, it'll notify you by beeping. Probably one of the simplest, but coolest feature IMO. So if you haven't tried out Sirius Satellite Radio and you love listening to music, I HIGHLY recommend it.

Room Defender

This would be a perfect way for me to be able to leave my bedroom door open and still keep my cat out of my room.
Ever since we first had our own bedroom it has been imperative to ensure no-one got in and started snooping around amongst our stuff. Keep Out signs are all very well, but they're not much of a deterrent to determined parents and irritating and nosy brothers and sisters. What's needed is some serious armament, and the Room Defender is it. Mounted on three gun-turret style legs, the Room Defender will protect your privacy from prying snoopers. It has a motion sensor alarm, so when someone enters your room it will give a verbal warning to the intruder, then fire a warning shot (in the form of a foam disc).
You can also program it to shoot in 'warning shot mode' where it will fire off a 1/4 of its payload, 'ambush mode' will fire off half the magazine, or 'assault mode' when it will empty it's breach completely at the unsuspecting intruder. It makes great Robocop type noises on start-up, activation and shut down, and comes with a remote so you can program and control it from anywhere in your room. This is of course designed for use in the bedrooms of kids all over the land (and possibly the North Korean border), but as ours is still guarding our Marketing Department and firing off at unsuspecting intruders to their intense amusement, it's obvious that grown-up kids love this too.
Features:
* Motion sensor alarm
* Fully Automatic Fire
* Manual Fire
* Four Different Security Settings
* Remote Control
* Requires 4 x AA and 2 x AAA Batteries not included
* This product is suitable for children 8+
