Berserk: Vol. 1: War Cry
Synopsis: A new king reigns supreme throughout Midland, but he achieved his power through heinous means. His men terrorize the town, and nothing stands in their way -- until the arrival of the mysterious Black Swordsman. Meanwhile, a young fighter named Guts meets up with the charismatic Captain Griffith and his band of mercenaries. Their combined strength means interesting things for Midland...
Interesting anime, which a buddy of mine (Javier "Rooftop" Barrigan) recommended I watch, and sorta bloody. Who am I kidding, this anime makes Gladiator (one of my top 10 favorite movies) seem rated G in a way. Not sure about Griffith, though. Seems like he's in love with Guts (Griffiths a dude). And how the heck did he get the name "Guts" and how does he hold that big ass sword? Anyway, I can ignore that because this anime isn't bad. It's not your typical storyline, so it keeps you guessing as to what the hell is really going on. This first disc shows the first 5 episodes and I plan to view the rest of the 6 disc series. So far, 7 out of 10.
