NBA | 81 points

Kobe 81.png

I hate the Lakers and I hate Kobe even more, but wow. 81 points is still 81 points, no matter what this article says about the NBA's rules limits the defense. If (and that's a HUGE "if") I were in the NBA, I'd hate being his "teammate", since I'd hardly ever get the chance to shoot. GO SUNS!!!

Boxing | Pac Man eats up Morales in the 10th

Pacquiao.png

"I'm thankful to God for giving me great power, but with great power comes great responsibility..." - Manny Pacquiao. Classic Filipino cheesiness! But who cares? Another great fight, just like the first one in March but with a better ending, IMHO. Morales looked so dead tired and I called it in the 7th round, by the 10th he's done! Go Manny!

Movies | Red Eye

Red Eye.png

Synopsis: Terrified of flying, Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) reluctantly hops a red-eye flight bound for Miami and buckles up for a bumpy ride. But her phobia morphs into terror when she learns that a fellow passenger (Cillian Murphy) has plans to murder the deputy secretary of Homeland Security -- and wants to use Lisa as part of the plot. Master of horror Wes Craven directs this psychological thriller set at 30,000 feet.

I had the impression beforehand that this movie was good, but unfortunately it let me down. It's not a really bad movie, it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Maybe the scene where (not a spoiler really) where Jack (Cillian Murphy's character) throws Lisa (Rachel McAdams) down the stairs just made my opinion of the movie even worse. It was so obvious that it had cut to a different clip and that it was a stunt double (her hair color was noticeably different). I know, not a big deal really, but I think it is for a big Hollywood flick. In any case, I think the best thing about this movie is Rachel McAdams, what a smile! She reminds me of Elisabeth Shue. I give the movie a 4 out of 10.

Volkswagen | GX3

VWGX3.png

If VW brings the GX3 into production, I'd seriously consider it as a future choice for a new... ride. Under $17K, 46 mpg in the city and 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. Very cool.

Apple | MacBook Pro

MacBook Pro Best Part.png

I've highlighted the best part of ordering a MacBook Pro online from the Apple Store. It's up to 4x faster (HUGE deal), has a built-in iSight (not a big deal in my book), slightly thinner than a 17" PowerBook, has no PCMCIA slot(somewhat of a negative) but did I mention it's fast? Okay, time to start saving up to upgrade to one. Maybe...
